Strengthening excellence and team performance at the FDRE Ministry of Mines

We concluded a full-day Leadership Development Program with the Ministry of Mines, led by Dr Mehret Debebe. The program explored the Marks and Pillars of Excellence alongside the Principles of Building and Leading Effective Teams.

Through presentations, team reflections and interactive activities, including the Pasta Tower Challenge, participants explored the dynamics of teamwork in practice: communication, collaboration, planning, adaptability and working toward a shared goal of excellence.

The training created space to connect the activity back to the workplace, highlighting how individual roles, trust and collective responsibility shape the effectiveness of a team.

Driving excellence at Chilalo Food Complex and THG Packaging & Printing

Mindset Solutions delivered a full-day training led by Dr Mehret Debebe on "Marks and Pillars of Excellence and a Customer Centric Mindset for Result Oriented, High Performance Service." The program combined presentations, group activities and scenarios, and participants explored practical ways to strengthen service standards, improve customer experiences and build a culture of accountability and high performance.

Three key takeaways:

• Excellence is a mindset, not a one-time achievement. It is built through consistent standards, discipline and attention to everyday actions.
• Simplicity strengthens performance. Clear processes, focused priorities and practical solutions help teams deliver results more consistently.
• Adopt a "customer is the boss" mindset. Every decision, interaction and service standard should be guided by the value and experience delivered to the customer.

The day concluded with practical commitments to translate these lessons into stronger service and better results across both companies.

Building on our work with the National Bank of Ethiopia, Mindset Solutions continues the NBE Mid-Level Leadership Development Program, supporting institutional transformation through stronger leadership, motivated teams and deeper digital readiness.
